SYNTEX is a high-performance epoxy-amine resin-based sealing paste designed for permanent root canal filling in conjunction with gutta-percha. Indications for Use

Contraindications

Do not use SYNTEX in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the product.

Precautions & Warnings

• Cytotoxic potential – handle with care. Use rubber dam, disposable gloves, safety glasses/face shield, and protective clothing.
• May cause serious eye damage and skin allergic reaction. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water for at least 10 minutes and consult a physician. For skin or mucous membrane contact, rinse with water; if irritation occurs, seek medical advice.
• If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water and consult a physician.
• Avoid extrusion beyond the root apex to prevent periapical tissue irritation. Perform procedures under radiographic and endoscopic guidance.
• Bacterial microleakage and temporary postoperative pain may occur.
• Report any serious incident to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the Member State where the user or patient is located.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

• Store in a sealed container in a ventilated environment at 2–25 °C.
• Protect from sunlight.
• Expiration date is indicated on the product label. Once opened, the expiration date remains valid if the container is properly resealed after each use.
• When closing the syringe, avoid mixing paste inside the syringe with paste on the closure cap (white with yellow stripe) to prevent polymerization and blockage.

Disposal

Empty containers must be disposed of responsibly or returned to the manufacturer.

Instructions for Use

1. Preparation: Before first use, expel a small amount of product from the syringe to ensure uniform paste delivery. Attach the mixing tip (or dispense equal amounts of paste onto a mixing pad and mix manually until uniform color is achieved).
2. Canal preparation: Prepare, rinse, and dry the root canal before application.
3. Application: Apply a small amount of SYNTEX to the tip of a Lentulo spiral. Slowly move the spiral toward the apex at the lowest possible micro-instrument speed. Remove the spiral using the lowest speed. Alternatively, apply the paste to a disinfected and dried gutta-percha point and insert into the canal with a pumping motion.
4. Obturation: Place additional points as needed, or fill the canal using lateral or vertical condensation of gutta-percha.
5. Cleanup: If the product penetrates the pulp chamber, remove residues with isopropyl alcohol.
6. Removal: In case of repeated endodontic treatments, remove the filling using conventional methods.
