SPONGOSTAN™ Sponge is a sterile, absorbable hemostatic agent made from porcine gelatin. Designed for surgical use, this malleable sponge is applied directly to bleeding surfaces to achieve rapid and effective hemostasis.

The sponge has a whitish, porous appearance and is insoluble in water. It is indicated for use in surgical procedures (excluding ophthalmic interventions) where conventional methods such as pressure, ligature, or other techniques are impractical or ineffective for controlling capillary, venous, or arterial bleeding.
